Dr. Salem Al-Agtash is an accomplished educator, researcher, and consultant with extensive expertise in e-infrastructures, microgrids, agents, and energy systems. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed publications and 765 citations, mainly focusing on AI-driven solutions for smart power grids, optimization in microgrids, and energy markets.
Dr. Al-Agtash has held significant academic and administrative positions, including Dean of Graduate Studies and Informatics at the German Jordanian University. He has advanced institutional excellence by developing innovative curricula, achieving accreditation milestones, and fostering impactful collaborations between academia, government, and industry. He has also taught various computer science and engineering courses including computer networks, operating systems, and programming at Yarmouk University, German Jordanian University, and recently Santa Clara University.
A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Al-Agtash earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
