Prof. Pierluigi Siano is a Professor and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory at the University of Salerno. His research focuses on demand response, energy management, smart grids, and electricity markets. He has co-authored over 680 publications, with more than 410 in international journals, accumulating over 15,530 citations (H-index: 87). Recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher (2019-2021) by Web of Science, he is among the top 100,000 scientists globally per Stanford University rankings. He has chaired numerous IEEE conferences and serves as an editor for IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, Industrial Informatics, and other journals. He has led international research projects on smart grids and renewable energy. His papers have received top citation awards, and he has held visiting positions at universities worldwide. Since 2017, he has been an elected member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Administrative Committee.
