Lauretta holds a degree in Mechanical engineering from University of Rome Tor Vergata (1996), a Master of Applied Science in Mech. and Environmental engineering from University of Toronto (1999) and a Ph.D. in Mechanical engineering from Imperial College London (2003).She has over 20 years’ work experience in the field of aftertreatment systems,R&D, ultrafine particle emissions measurements and control, PEMS and emissions legislation. She worked as Research Assistant at University of Toronto and Imperial College, as Development Engineer at Johnson Matthey, UK (2003-2005) as Scientific officer at European Commission JRC (2005-2008) as Corporate Scientist at Sensors (2009-2011) as System Engineer at Corning, as Lead Technical Expert Aftertreatment Systems (2013-2017) at GM & PSA Group (2017-2012)and Senior System Engineer at STELLANTIS (2021-2022).Several years of experience as external expert and proposal evaluator to the EU commission (HORIZON projects).From Sept. 2022she is CEO of the VERT Association based in Switzerland. She is also founder and CEO of “LR Consulting”, environmental solutions for a sustainable and innovative future and business mentor start-ups EIT Urban mobility.
