Dr. Lalit K. Goel is a distinguished academic and professional in electrical engineering, with a career spanning over 30 years in higher education and four years in the electrical power industry. He holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and a BTech from the National Institute of Technology Warangal, India, where he graduated as a gold medalist. Currently a Professor at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, Dr. Goel has held several senior leadership roles, including Director of the Renaissance Engineering Programme and Director of India Connect @ NTU. His expertise spans teaching, research, academic governance, and internationalization. An IEEE Fellow since 2013, he has contributed significantly to power system reliability and served on numerous international advisory committees. Dr. Goel has authored over 100 journal papers, mentored eight PhD students, and won multiple teaching awards. He is a recipient of the 2024 IEEE PES Roy Billinton Power System Reliability Award and the National Day Long Service Medal (2017) in Singapore.
